I'm tired of drivers that are turning right only looking left to see if they can proceed. With the various intersections I regularly ride through, 33rd and Hwy 2 is especially dangerous. I decided a while ago I wanted some sort of horn to kindly 'notify' drivers when they are not paying attention. I was never able to find anything that I thought would work well enough until tonight. I ran across a blog entry that pointed me to the
Delta Airzound horn. I found it for ~$22 on Amazon and placed the order tonight. I should arrive Friday with my Amazon Prime membership. I can't wait to see how well it works.

Do you have any updates for this? Curious to see how well the system worked as I have been eyeballing it myself!
I used it a couple of times in traffic situations with disappointing results. The cars didn't really pay much attention since they had their windows up, which isolates a lot of noise, especially if you are also listening to music. The few times I used it the drivers weren't singing along, so I can't know for sure if they were or were not listening to music to further distract them.
However, the device itself is one heck of an airhorn. Everyone I've given a demo to has been impressed, unfortunately they were all people outside of cars at the time. :) Maybe if I engaged the airhorn for a longer duration it would be more effective. I'll be sure to report back the next time I use.
