I definitely prefer the Burley Nomad for this type of utility cycling. The Nomad is stable with two wheels, I struggle with handling the Ibex at time. The Nomad is enclosed while the Ibex requires a bungie cord w/ bag. And finally, the Ibex really caused the La Cruz to 'wabble' when I got out of the saddle and tried to ride up a short hill on the way back home. The Nomad had no issues the few times I've used it under load.
At this point I'm pretty disappointed in the B.O.B. Ibex as an all around utility trailer. I know it will excel at single track, but I don't need a trailer most of the time when I am riding single track. I'll probably hold on to it for when I do some camping with the bicycle.
If anyone has any thoughts on the B.O.B. I'd love to hear them, as it seems they're quite popular. I wonder if I'm loading it poorly or doing something else incorrectly.

All I have to say is that it's either insanely badass to see a La Cruz with SRAM Force and Mavic Crossmax's as a grocery getter, or that it's ridiculous. I'm erring on the side of badass, awesome that you are getting utility use out of your bike.
Speaking of, that has to be one of the most versatile bike setups out there. I am definitely jealous of that build :).
